We are not cavemen anymore. Do not treat one another like we have zero manners. Give a helping hand. Help someone across the street. Hold a door open, smile at someone. People are in such a rush all the time. Angry. Walking around with sour faces. We torture, kill, harm others human beings, not limited to animals. It’s horrifying to see what is taking place on our planet.

It takes nothing away from us to be kind and considerate to someone else or some other being. It actually feels good inside to do something kind for someone else. There has been times in my life where I felt bitter towards everything. It felt like I was carrying a bag of rotten food on my back. No one wanted to be around me and I couldn’t stand myself. Let it go, like animals do.

Animals can teach us so much. They live in the moment. Forget the past. They seem to enjoy life without many hang ups. They sleep peacefully, wake up without anxiety and show gratitude without words. They are thrilled with smallest adventure, the tiniest gesture of affection. They show love with ease and never hold back their emotions. They forgive easily and do not shame others. They hold no judgment, they do not lie or cheat. They go with the flow of life and hold the idea of “whatever will be, will be.”

I am in awe of animals.

People….

Animal’s….

Need I say more.

  1. Ah, Melanie, I flew to be with a friend in Denver (sadly she has ALS), so missed reading this prose with follow up photos…reading your memories, thoughts and feelings now; reminds me of the great adventures we have shared, the many critters we have loved, and our mutually deep love we have for each other. 👩🏼💕💜shirley
